Please arrive 20 minutes prior to departure in order to avoid disappointment as we do not wait for late clients unless it's a private booking.
Strong westerly winds are an increased risk especially on low tide as these cause large waves up to 2 or more metres to break into the Patterson river entrance which is our access point to Port Phillip Bay. When this is the case the charter is postponed until the conditions settle or the wind changes. Please remember it is our aim to please and not disappoint however we cannot control the weather.
All clients will be given a full safety brief prior to departure and will be shown how to effectively put on a life jacket as well as run through some safety drills.
We have full liability insurance and all clients will need to sign a passenger manifest prior to departure as well as fill out a form declaring any pre existing medical conditions or medications being taken. This is purely so we are aware of each individual's circumstance and ability and we can then direct special care or attention on certain individuals if required.
Executive Charters reserves the right to refuse a passenger to board a vessel if that passenger is a high risk client, meaning you have a medical condition which may hamper your ability to safely participate in the charter.
Please note: Without prejudice we do not accept the following as it is deemed high risk on our vessel: No children under the age of 11 years old, No pregnant ladies in the late stages of pregnancy and no blind or physically disabled clients as we don't have wheelchair access and furthermore depending on the tides you may need to climb down a ladder to enter the vessel. Children as well as anyone who cannot swim are required to wear a life jacket at all times.
Executive Charters reserves the right to ask any passenger to wear a life jacket at any time.
Executive Charters reserves the right to cancel and re schedule a trip due to bad weather. Please note that we can fish in the Patterson river and back canals of Patterson lakes as an alternative activity if weather poses a threat on our clients and vessel. This however is only done if we cannot get out into Port Phillip Bay due to extreme weather or if we have to come into sheltered waters during a charter due to a sudden change in weather.
Due to the size and stability of our vessel as well as the location we operate from we rarely have to cancel due to bad weather, however the weather can pose great difficulties on a successful fishing trip due to swinging of the vessel when anchored and a high increased effect of sea sickness on passengers who are prone to motion sickness, so sometimes after consulting the group it may be best to cancel or postpone a charter.
We operate 9 months of the year in Port Phillip bay and our vessel is off the water from June to August for scheduled maintenance.
In some cases we require 50% deposit when booking a charter or a credit card number as a security were we will put 50% of funds aside on hold, however we won't charge your card until the day of charter.
We must have a minimum of 6 passengers booked in order for a charter to go ahead. A group booking of 8 passengers is required for the boat to be privately booked, otherwise the captain reserves the right to book up to 10 passengers for any given charter.
Please note: Payment must be settled in full prior to the departure date or on the departure date before commencement of charter. We do have a mobile eftpos facility onboard. Deposits and bookings are refundable if we cancel the charter due to bad weather and an alternative day will not suit.
Please be advised that the person making the booking is in charge of the full payment amount of the booking requested. Ie. If you book for 6 people and only 5 show up you will still need to pay for 6 in order for the charter to proceed.
All personal contact and banking details are used and handled only by authorized personnel of Executive Charters in a highly confidential manner. Your details will never be passed on, released or sold to other bodies or persons.
Please note we take credit card fraud seriously and in any instances of this taking place we do have recovery professionals and a fraud investigation company which handles all cases.
All gift vouchers must be presented on the day of charter, if they are lost or forgotten a full fare will be required before boarding the vessel. Gift vouchers expire within 12 months of original purchase. They are not transferable and will not be refunded under any circumstances. If booking with a gift voucher and you do not attend for your scheduled trip that gift voucher will be forfeited.
We reserve the right to withhold 50% of the booking amount when cancelling within 7 days of charter. This will be at the skipper's discretion. A re-schedule can be done at no charge within 7 days of charter. Please note re scheduling can only be done once as it will then be treated as a cancellation and 100% of the booking will be withheld.
There is a strict no refund policy on the day of charter, any refunds will be discussed off the water with the skipper and will be issued under his discretion depending on the circumstance.
Executive charters reserves the right to cancel any trip and return to port where there has been mistreatment of crew or an argument between passengers. There will be no refunds issued in these cases and we do have direct contact with the water police at a push of a button depending on the seriousness of the incident.
We are an agent of the Department of Primary Industries and have been given the authority to sell fishing licences onboard, however in order to avoid delays with departures you can purchase a 48 hour licence from the bait shop at our departure point for just $6.

If however you are booking a delluxe charter we will provide you with a 48 hour licence free of charge if you don't already have one.
All crew hold a Responsible service of alcohol certificate and although we are not serving alcohol we definitely know when passengers are showing signs of intoxication. We have a policy of 1 standard drink per hour on our vessel and reserve the right to terminate a trip and return to port if this is not abided by. Strictly beer, premixed or still wine is allowed as long as it's in plastic bottles or cans. No glassware will be allowed onboard the vessel as a safety precaution.
Any passenger which arrives clearly under the influence of alcohol will be refused boarding of the vessel and no refund will be issued, furthermore we reserve the right to cut off any passenger from drinking during a charter and any argument in the matter will result in the trip being cancelled and water police notified.
We do not accept illicit drugs onboard our vessel. If a person is found in possession of an unknown substance or a non prescribed drug, the trip will again be cancelled and water police notified.
